When building an onboard jack system, think beyond the jack itself. Consider the jack’s overall footprint, extension height, mount dimensions, handle storage and how quickly the jack can be removed when the vehicle is fully loaded.

For race and chase vehicles especially, accessibility matters just as much as secure mounting. Mock up the complete jack and mounting system before drilling or fabricating permanent mounting points.
